Here are a few important things …
Please wear suitable footwear for walking on coast paths and uneven ground, and dress for the weather. Weather in Cornwall can be wonderfully unpredictable. Some walks will be more demanding than others - choose wisely if you would prefer a flatter / easier walk. If in doubt drop me a message and I can give you an idea about terrain, and you can decide if it’s a suitable walk for you. We will aim to walk for an hour or so. Again, your safety is your responsibility. The event on 4th July is more of a gentle beach meander… It’s not far from the car park to the beach, relatively level access, and the sea is usually calm for a swim or paddle. This is the event for you if you need a slower and more gentle time.
You may wish to bring a journal or notebook. While we will be a small group and there will be chatter and laughter, there will also be time for reflection. Taking a few minutes to note what you notice is encouraged.
On some occasions there may be the opportunity to swim - depending on weather, sea conditions etc etc. If you would like to join in a swim, please bring swimmers, and you must be able to look after yourself in the water confidently and safely.
If you’d like a hot drink with breakfast, please bring one with you. In some places there is a little cafe where you can buy a drink. As far as possible we will take a share in carrying breakfast, so if you can pop something extra in a backpack that would be awesome. We will do a mini-beach clean, so a small bag for litter is useful. Well behaved doggies are welcome, where permitted. As a dog owner you will know of restrictions on particular beaches.
I will send details to you by email a few days beforehand with details of where to meet. In the event that it would be unwise to proceed, I will send a text message, and issue you with a full refund.
Bookings close on the Wednesday (at noon) before the event so that I can bake and cater appropriately. No food waste….
By booking you agree to the above, to care for self, others and the environment 💙
